Thermal Base Layer Buyer Questions
Can I order thermal tops under my own label?
Yes. Share your size chart, intended use, authorized artwork and packaging requirements for development and sampling.
Which fabric is used for the base layer?
Knit composition and weight depend on supplier availability. Approve the actual swatch and specification before production.
Can the fit and neckline be changed?
Discuss body measurements, sleeve length, neckline, cuffs and seam placement. Review the fit on a sample before production.
How warm is the top?
Warmth depends on the selected material, construction, fit and layering. Any specific performance claim should be supported by a relevant report for the actual garment.
Are samples free?
Sampling is free; the buyer pays shipping. Review the fabric and fit before approving your order.
Is a thermal base layer top the same as a compression top?
Not necessarily. Thermal describes the layering brief, while compression requires a defined fit and substantiated performance specification. State whether you want close-fitting or more relaxed measurements and approve the garment chart and sample.
Which top measurements should be included in the tech pack?
Include chest, hem, body length, shoulder, sleeve and cuff measurements, neckline dimensions, stretch direction and grading. Identify the layers worn over the top and review reach and seam comfort on the sample.
Can tops and bottoms be developed as a coordinated range?
Discuss a shared fabric and color reference, separate size charts, labels and set-packing combinations. Confirm quantities by piece and size, material availability, MOQ and scheduling in the quotation.
