Tech Pack & Sampling for Custom Uniforms

Turn a design idea into a clear sample brief. ZESTLET reviews sketches, reference designs and tech packs for custom uniform and apparel development, with sample approval before bulk production.

Define the work

What a useful apparel tech pack contains

A tech pack gives the buyer and manufacturer a shared set of instructions. It should explain the garment in measurable terms and identify the latest approved revision. If information is missing, mark it for discussion instead of leaving the factory to guess.

Move toward approval

From your brief to an agreed reference

01

Review the brief

Identify fixed details, open questions and the measurements or references still needed. Agree the sample size and what the sample must demonstrate.

02

Check the sewn sample

Assess fit, movement, pocket access, closures, materials, decoration and labels together. For a two-piece uniform, review both garments as one program.

03

Record the decision

List requested changes, issue an updated revision and approve the final sample against it. Keep the approved sample and specification as the reference for production.

Make sample feedback specific

Replace comments such as “make it better fitting” with a measurement point, the observed result and the requested change. A photo with the relevant area marked can support the written feedback. Check fabric shade and wash behavior, label placement and packing alongside the garment fit, so separate approvals do not contradict each other.

Include with your inquiry

  • Product name, sample size and specification revision
  • Chest/waist, body length, rise, sleeve or inseam measurements as applicable
  • Movement checks with the intended layers or equipment
  • Pocket dimensions, closure operation and decoration placement
  • Written approval or a numbered list of changes for the next sample

Buyer questions

Do I need a finished tech pack to contact ZESTLET?

No. Send the information you have and identify what needs development. A sketch or reference can start the discussion, but the agreed materials, measurements and construction must be clear before bulk production.

Are samples free?

ZESTLET offers free sampling with buyer-paid shipping. Confirm the product, materials, sample scope and shipping arrangements with the team, especially where components or sourcing need review.

How many sample revisions are included?

Discuss revision scope and timing for your project. Keep changes organized against a current specification and confirm approval in writing; this page does not promise a fixed number of revisions or a universal sample turnaround.

Does approving the fit sample establish product certification?

No. Fit and appearance approval do not establish protective performance or regulatory compliance. Any required testing and documentation must match the actual material, model and intended use.
